Seniors

In terms of experience with the field of retirement communities and senior's housing the firm of Arsenault Architect Inc. draws on a wide range of projects and qualified personnel.

These projects include senior's condominiums; retirement homes and Long Term Care facilities. The goal of Arsenault Architect is to work with both the private and public industries to accommodate seniors requiring various levels of care.

We are currently involved with as many as ten projects, involving all types of senior's accommodation. Our staff is attuned to all criteria for all seniors facilities, from retirement condominiums, through all retirement homes to a full range Long Term Care and Alzheimer's facilities.

Our firm has also worked on “Age in Place” community proposals. These projects includes retirement condominiums, retirement homes, and various type of retirement and Long Term Care facilities. The philosophy of these communities is to allow residents to move in while still int heir 50's and early 60's and to “age in pace” receiving care as they require it.

 

Amica - City Centre West

aainc_amicadundas.jpg This project was constructed containing 284 units, and a 2 part retirement community. Part A consists of a 7-storey, 138 unit retirement home, including one floor of 26 ADL units, while Part B is a 17-storey, 146 unit senior condominium tower. The 2 components of the project also share common amenities such as a Fitness & Wellness Centre, Club, Library, Theatre, Games Room, Hair Salon, Pool & Greenhouse. The project was completed in March of 2006.

Amica - Claridges

aainc_amicaclaridges.jpg A nine-storey, 112 unit seniors lifestyle condominium situated in the North York area of Toronto. This residence, although conceived for independent living, is designed with a link to an existing eight-storey retirement home. This allows residences to receive services as required, providing continuing care and aging in place. This project was completed in February 2007.

Amica - Dundas

aainc_amicadundas.jpg A 135 unit retirement home starting at 6 stories, tiering down to 4 stories is located in the town of Dundas. This 148,000 sq. ft. full service facility is phase 1 with a 6-storey condominium attached in phase 2. The project is being completed for Amica Mature Lifestyles. This project contains seniors amenities such as a therapeutic pool, pub and wellness centre with a level of underground parking. Construction is currently underway with occupancy slated for the Summer of 2007.

Amica - Newmarket

aainc_amicanew.jpg A 6-storey 138 unit retirement home located on Goreham Street in Newmarket. This 127,000 sq. ft. Amica Retirement Home consists of a 2 level 35,000 sq. ft. amenity space which includes a Therapeutic Pool, Spa, Pub, Fitness and Wellness Centre. The building was completed in December of 2005.

Amica - Thornhill

aainc_amicathorn.jpg A 162 unit 8-storey Retirement Home for Amica Mature Lifestyles located at Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West in Thornhill (Vaughan). This project includes 30,000 sq. ft. of amenity space on the ground and basement levels including a Penthouse Level Library and Lounge. It also provides 1 level of underground parking for 80 cars and is currently in the construction phase with occupancy anticipated in the Summer of 2008.

Amica London

aainc_amicalondon.jpg A 164 unit 8-storey retirement home for Amica Mature Lifestyles located on Fanshawe Park Road West in London, Ontario. It is comprised of 136 independent and 28 assisted living units. The project provides 37,775 sq. ft. of amenity space on the ground and basement levels and includes a Sky Lounge on the Penthouse Level. It is currently in the Construction Phase with occupancy anticipated in the Summer of 2008.

Diversicare Canada - DUCA

aainc_diverscareduca.jpg This project is a 160 unit Retirement Home, 17-storey high at Yonge Street and Ellerslie Avenue. It also provides 1 level of underground parking for 100 cars. This project is for Diversicare Canada and is currently in the Design Development Phase. This project is part of a Master Plan Scheme with DUCA Financial Services (a 3-storey Banking Facility) and will be completed in early 2009.

Diversicare Canada - Newmarket

It also contains 1 level of underground parking with spaces for 65 cars. This project for Diversicare Canada is currently in the Site Plan Approval Phase and is scheduled for construction in the Fall of 2007

Diversicare Canada - Richmond Hill

This 123,000 sq. ft. project for Diversicare Canada is currently in the Rezoning Phase and it is hoped to commence construction in 2008.

Diversicare Canada - Thornhill

The amenity space is located on the ground and basement levels. It also provides 42 underground parking spaces and 22 surface parking spaces. This project for Diversicare Canada is currently in the Design Development Phase with construction anticipated in the Fall of 2007.

Health Corp Group Services

Located at Hurontario Street and Central Parkway, there will be 30,000 sq. ft. of amenity space and 2 levels of underground parking. The project for Health Corp Group Services is currently in the design development phase.

Heritage Square Seniors Residence

aainc_hertiage.jpg A 3-storey amenity link between 2 existing 10-storey senior’s apartment buildings located in Meadowvale area of Mississauga. This 40,000 sq. ft. facility provides various amenities and services to the existing 368 units in the two towers. This project also consisted of 20 new 10th floor units (10 in each tower). This project was completed for The Signet Group and Chartwell Care Corporation in June 2005.

Origin Evergreen

aainc_evergreen.jpg The first phase of his project consists of a 10-storey Retirement Home of 120 units. It also contains a 100 unit, 12-storey Senior’s Lifestyle Condominium along with 20 assisted living units. There are also 4, 3-storey blocks with 108 Bungalow Townhomes and 1-storey amenity link. All buildings are joined by underground parking for 300+ cars. This project for Origin Retirement Communities and The Daniels Capital Group is currently in the pre-construction stage. Construction is expected to commence in early 2007.

Viva - Aurora

This project includes assisted living and independent living suites. There is also 25,000 sq. ft. of amenity space including a Cafe/Bistro, Beauty Salon, and pool. The project is being completed for Viva Retirement Living Corp. and Reichmann Seniors Housing Development Crop. and is currently in the Permit Approval stage.

Origin - Niagara-on-the-Lake

This Retirement Home built for Origin Niagara-on-the-Lake Inc. is 4 storeys, 133 units with 85 parking spaces. Located at 2018 Niagara Stone Road and featuring assisted living and memory care services, this facility will commence construction in mid 2015 and will be completed in early 2017.

Revera - Ajax

This project for Revera Inc. consists of a 5-storey, 132-unit Seniors Apartment with one level of underground parking, located at the corner of Westney Road and Rossland Road in Ajax. The 142,000 sq. ft. Retirement Home features a large dining room, pub and cafe, a fitness / exercise area, a large theatre and a hair salon. Construction of this facility is set to commence late 2015 for occupancy mid- to late-2017.

Viva - Carleton Place

It also contains a Cafe and Pub along with a Theatre, Hair Salon and Library. On each floor, there is a sunroom lounge for resident’s enjoyment. This project for Viva Retirement Living is in the Construction Phase with occupancies expected in 2009.

Viva - Mississauga

This project is located at Thomas Street and Lucy Drive in the Streetsville area of Mississauga.  It contains 123 units in a 6-storey building with 31 Assisted Living Units.  Amenities include a spa, a pub, a pool, a beauty salon, a theatre and a daycare centre, with surface parking for 60 cars.

The project for Viva Retirement Communities was completed in 2012 and is now occupied.

Viva - Oakville

Located at the corner of Six Mile and Sixteen Mile Roads in northwest Oakville, this Retirement Home is 6 storeys with 171 units and one level of underground parking combined with surface parking to accommodate 90 cars.  Built for Viva Retirement Communities Inc., features include a dining room, a pool and a brain gym.

This project will begin construction in late 2015 with completion set for mid-2017.

Located at 1884 Glengrove Road in Pickering, this Retirement Home is 6 storeys with 137 units including 31 Assisted Living units and surface parking for 60 cars.  Built for Viva Retirement Communities Inc., amenities include a spa, a pub, a beauty salon, a theatre and a pool.

This project was completed in the fall of 2012 and is now occupied.

This facility is located at Bathurst Street and Lebovic Campus Drive between Major Mackenzie Drive and Rutherford Road.  It's a 135-unit, 6-storey building with 28 Assisted Living units.  Amenities include spa, pub, pool, beauty salon and theatre.

The project was completed in early 2013 for Viva Retirement Communities and Madison Homes.
